I love creating fluffy textures with floss. So this time I am writing about a creation which I created sometime back using Turkey work stitch.
Turkey work aka fringe stitch Mmm? Yeah, some calls this as fringe stitch too.
This stitch can be used to create fluffy effects in your embroidery and is ideal to stitch natural looking grass/plants as well as flowers. Of course you can use this stitch to embroider clouds too. All you need is some practice in shaping out the floss accordingly. (I call it giving a ‘HAIR CUT’ to my embroidery !! haha !!)

Here in this tutorial I have used Linen fabric and Anchor stranded cotton embroidery floss. Ah one more thing.. I love playing with variegated thread too. Applying different colors to your flower in one go is amazing right? What do you think? Enjoy and Happy Stitching !!
